Andrew Gindy

Andrew is the Managing Partner and Founder of REM, overseeing the firm and its investment strategy.

 

Prior to founding REM, Andrew spent over 13 years as a senior partner in real estate private equity at Walton Street Capital, sourcing, evaluating, and executing new investments, most recently leading West Coast investments and lodging transactions across North America and Western Europe. He has led or participated in the acquisition or financing of virtually every property type, including hotel, office, industrial, retail, multifamily, for-sale residential, gaming, senior living, and land development, with deep experience structuring transactions across the capital structure. Andrew serves on the boards of the AHLA Hospitality Investment Roundtable, Urban Land Institute’s Office Development Council, Postcard Cabins, and the UC Berkeley Fisher Center for Real Estate, and is deeply involved in charitable organizations including the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles. Andrew and his family reside in Los Angeles.

 

Andrew received a BS with honors from Cornell University, with a minor in real estate finance.

Monica Scieszka

Monica is Principal and Head of Operations at REM, responsible for originating new investment opportunities, executing business plans and value creation strategies, and supporting the firm’s investor relations and capital formation platforms.

 

Prior to REM, Monica was a Director of Investments at Dune Real Estate Partners in New York, where she originated, evaluated, and structured new investment opportunities and asset managed single-asset and large-portfolio investments across the residential, hospitality, and industrial sectors. She began her career at Walton Street Capital in Chicago. Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Monica spent several years as an expat in Singapore before relocating from New York to Santa Monica, and is an avid University of Michigan sports fan.

 

Monica received a BBA from the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business.

Jessica Spurr

Jessica is Chief of Staff at REM, responsible for the firm’s day-to-day operations, strategic coordination, investor relations, and marketing and brand initiatives.

 

Prior to REM, Jessica was an Assistant Vice President at Cultivate Hospitality Group, where she was a founding team member responsible for building the company’s operational infrastructure from the ground up. Jessica resides in Santa Monica with her husband Christian and daughter Sofia.

 

Jessica received a BS from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Brad Graboff

Brad is a Vice President at REM, responsible for evaluating and executing new investment opportunities and supporting the asset management of portfolio assets.

 

Prior to REM, Brad was a Director at Highgate, one of the largest hotel investment management companies, where he spent nearly seven years evaluating and executing hotel acquisitions, developments, dispositions, and asset management initiatives. He began his career at Hodges Ward Elliott focused on Debt & Equity Capital Markets. Brad resides in Santa Monica and is a devoted golfer and Tottenham Hotspur F.C. supporter.

 

Brad received a BA from the University of Michigan.

Oliver Pourbaba

Oliver is a Vice President at REM, responsible for evaluating and executing new investment opportunities and supporting the asset management of portfolio assets.

 

Prior to REM, Oliver was a Senior Associate at Oaktree Capital Management, investing out of its opportunistic, income, and performing debt vehicles. He began his career at Walton Street Capital. Oliver resides in Los Angeles with his fiancé Dalia.

 

Oliver received a BA from the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business.

Cole Norton

Cole is a Senior Associate at REM, responsible for evaluating and executing new investment opportunities and supporting the asset management of portfolio assets.

 

Prior to REM, Cole was a Senior Associate at CIM Group within the Real Estate Equity team, evaluating and executing new investment opportunities and providing strategic asset management for a portfolio of existing assets. He began his career at Northwestern Mutual Real Estate. Cole resides in Venice, CA, and is an avid skier and Detroit Lions fan.

 

Cole received a BA from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Makaila Holifield

Makaila is an Executive Assistant at REM, responsible for creating structure and consistency across day-to-day operations.

 

Prior to REM, Makaila supported the Business Development team at Clearlake Capital Group as an Administrative Assistant, managing daily administrative tasks, handling communications, and assisting on team projects. Makaila enjoys traveling and spending time with her dog Bleu.

 

Makaila received a BA from California State University, Long Beach.
